# Install the access control application and initialize a control device

### Download Qomeet Access - Qomeet access control application

**Qomeet Access** is the application that allows you to [control the passes](https://help.qomeet.com/en/article/pass-control-hzxk9b/) of participants in your event at different checkpoints: entrances to accreditation areas, meals, parking areas. With Qomeet Access, you can also link RFID/NFC chips to participants.

**Qomeet Access** runs on Android (minimum version required: Android 12 or higher). You can download the app directly from the Google Play Store.

### Initialize a control device

Once the application has been installed on a control device (smartphone, control terminal, etc.), you will need to initialize it by scanning the QR code of your event.


* To display the initialization QR code of your event, go to Qomeet, **Access** > **Operators**, and click on **Configure a device** at the top of the page.

* On your control device, open **Qomeet Access** and scan the initialization QR Code of your event.
